“I started Project SOS in 1993 when I had to tell a mother that her 14 year-old ‘straight-A’ student daughter, who had never had a date, was pregnant. The entire football team was exploiting her before her parents got home from work. Now teens know their value and worth and have skills to reach their goals and dreams. Our services include healthy relationship programs for couples as well as youth programs. This work IS changing our culture for the better!”

“I have been married for 37 years to Dale and have 2 children and 1 grandchild. I was a supporter of Project SOS for several years before having the opportunity to work here. Coming to work each day knowing that we, Project SOS, are making a difference in the lives of students and couples is so exciting.”
“I started working for Project SOS 5 years ago because I believe in helping people move beyond their own hurts and hang ups, and even current circumstances in order to become the best they can be. Given the right tools, the right time and the right opportunity every individual can succeed.”
“I love people, media studies and art! As a Youth Development Specialist, I’m able to exercise all three of my passions. Having worked at a local Jacksonville Advertising agency for two years, I help students adapt to a world filled with all kinds of media messages and around-the-clock access to the internet. My goal is to empower students to set goals, protect them with boundaries and develop healthy, meaningful relationships.”
“I was born in Queens, New York. My family came from NY so that we could have a better life. I have attended performing arts schools from elementary through high school. The performing arts has given me an opportunity to become a spokesperson and positive role model for young people in the community. I am grateful for working at an organization that gives me the ability to focus on being a role model to this generation and generations to come.”
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”
― William Arthur Ward
To me, this quote is my motivation. As a Youth Development Specialist here at Project SOS, I am able to inspire students to make healthy life choices in order to achieve their goals and make boundaries to protect them. I am passionate about my job and so excited to help young people reach their highest potential.

Certified Life Coach (CLC)
For nearly a decade, I have had the privilege of traveling throughout South Carolina, Georgia and Florida inspiring young people to dream beyond their circumstances and take ownership of their life’s direction.
As a Youth Development Specialist, I love helping teens recognize their dreams and interest, outline their life’s goals, and establish boundaries to skillfully resist goal threatening situations. The opportunity of this dream to live out my purpose has truly been a gift and it is an honor to assist youth in their transition through life.
